Rapid Rehousing Team

Established in the fall of 2012, the Rapid Rehousing Team uses a Rapid Re-housing model to move currently homeless families and individuals into housing with short-term rental assistance, case management and housing location services. We partner with the Building Commission to support the City of Evansville’s Landlord Registry.

Successes:

  • 125 were children and 159 were adults.
Lucretia was in a transitional housing program. With Aurora’s help, she was able to move herself and both of her kids into a nice apartment of their own. Lucretia had been working at a daycare where they were not consistently receiving paychecks on time. With guidance from her Aurora case manager, she got a new and more stable job that is even closer to her apartment. With the money from her consistent paychecks, she was able to pay rent and even saved up enough to buy a car.
