Lack of affordable housing is a key issue facing our community, causing an increase in homelessness. Our intention with “Artistry Unhoused” is to build a wider understanding of people who are often overlooked, misunderstood or simply unwelcome through highlighting their creative contributions. These include all types of mediums, including painting, photography, jewelry, music and more. This reception and subsequent exhibit is a collaboration with Aurora, the Arts Council of SW Indiana, local college photography students and most importantly, those that are homeless or recently experienced homelessness here in the tri-state.
